My auto biography: Who am I?

Well... in first time, when I ask this question to myself, I always conclude that nobody cares more than me.

Here I go:

My name is Camilo Ariel Silva González. I was born on 3rd July in Providencia, Santiago of Chile. After, with my family, we moved to Valdivia, located in the south of Chile.
At elementary school, I studied at Instituto Salesiano in Valdivia. Later, I completed my High school studies at Colegio de Música Johann Sebastian Bach, in the same city.
Actually, I´m studying Public Administration at the Universidad de Chile (third semester). For this, I returned to Santiago to study.

I have a family that supports me, but they lives in Valdivia: my father Luis, my mother Aurora, my two brothers Felipe and Thomas, and my pets Toto, Milo and Rasputin.
I like cycling on off road and the city, also I like to collect model airplanes, in scale 1:72 or less.

Something I really like as person is to be a volunteer and help to others in anything/whatever. Because I think it is important for the good formation in quality as person.

Why did you choose this career/study programme?

When I was a child I dreamed to be a seaman or military, because I like travel and military vehicles/aircrafts. <<Dream is the best>>
Before to entering in my career, I had many problems to take a decision, because It was not the best time of my life; really I was very hesitant. I thought to be air traffic controller, or studying geology. But, thanks to my eldest brother, I could make the decision to study Public Administration at the Universidad de Chile.

So, at that time it seemed to be an excellent career, although I´ve always hated the bureaucracy because I consider it a disaster and this is the explains why Chile is still a third world country.
I always do things that I'm not good, to understand these things and to do them well.
Also, I choose this carrer because I read a great book: Utopia from Saint Tomàs Moro, this helped me understand the importance of public functionary and true public vocation for the common good and without personal interests. The university has taught me a lot about this, with bureaucratic values implanted by Max Weber and the Bureaucratic Prussian School as probity, efficiency and effectiveness.

I would like to work in topics associated to International Relations <<good relations>>.

My favorite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my personal computer or notebook, this is a Hp Pavilion. My mother bought me in early May of last year, to study and work <lol>.
I always use my notebook, to do works; do presentations; play computer games (somestimes); to read news; to investigate anything; watch movies, tv series or documentary, listen to music, and to contact with family, acquaintances and friends.

I like my notebook, because there are few of its kind, this has many capabilities, as open many software at once. and it has been a multipurpose tool. I played games that a common computer can´t resist either as Battlefield 2, BF 3, etc.

And without my computer, I could not make my life more comfortable, responsible and fun. For this, I hope that my notebook has a shelf life for many years, just I´ve to take care.

My favorite music Themed/Free Post 1.-

Personal note: I think the music style doesn`t define your person (the way you are, or how you will be).

I am a person who always likes to change to new things, so, I'm not a person with exquisite musical preferences. Then, I can say I like many styles of harmonies.

Since childhood, I was getting used to listen to music from the 80s - in English, French, or Spanish. My parents liked the music of this period, and so, they listened to music this type of music very often.

List of styles I like:

1.- 80s rock
2.- 80s pop

Today:

3.- Renaissance Music. It`s a nice style, because, almost all musicians of this time, created very nice works of art, but, not put their real name in the works, these were only under the authorship of anonymous person.
4.- Russian music.
5.- Deep
6.- Punk Rock
7.- Reggaeton.
8.- Just some songs of other styles of music, as rap; pop; etc.

A Photograph (its story).-

This photograph was taken on February 23th, 2016, by my older brother Felipe.

This photo is very special because while we were going on a road inside the Parque Nacional Huerquehue (in english: Huerquehue National Park) , located in the Región de la Araucanía, we find a vehicle parked on the side of the road, I quickly realized that the patent of that vehicle was from foreign country, and besides, we read that it was a patent from Alaska, United States. Therefore we were impressed, as the crew of the vehicle had traveled many kilometers from Alaska to Chile. But we also realized that the vehicle was stopped because he had a flipped tire, because the car had stepped into a hole in the road, but it was not a "any hole", so,  it was a hole that ran through the entire thickness of the road, and below this  passing a river coming to the Lago Caburga (Caburga lake).

What had happened aroused in me a feeling of insecurity to know where trod was not safe and could perhaps spend the same thing that  happened to the American vehicle. Fortunately this didn`t happen.

My brother couldn`t take more pictures because just in this moment  the memory of the camera is over, but my mom took a picture of the hole, with his cell phone, but this now is lost , so, we don`t have a picture of the hole.

Role, with Ethical and Moral Principles of a Public Administrator - Themed/Free Post 2.-

These issues are important  in our field, because, in necesary to improve these aspects to give credibility to the system (participation of State to improve the quality of life for the people). Therefore, the total trust of the people in the public services and institutions have to restored, for instance: increase transparency and citizen participation.
Besides, If the public administrator has a good ethical training, he will has a good performance in their vocation of public service.

The concept of “truth” becomes the concept of “Common good” in the Middle age. Thanks to the work of philosophers like Saint Tomás Moro, this concept arises to the public activity of a State and Government. Besides, thanks to the work of modern and contemporary philosophers, sociologists, and other professionals, they stablish the following principles for a good administration.

-          Humanism
-          Equality
-          Innovation
-          Inclusion
-          Sustainability (management)
-          Competitiveness
-          Legality
-          Democratic Governability
-          Transparency
-          Accountability (render account)
-          Probity
-          Effectiveness and Efficiency.

A Subject you enjoy studying this semester

My favorite subject in this semester is Estadísticas Para la Gestión I (or in english Statistics For Management I). Usually in classes, we listen to what the teacher explains; my professor R. S. is a great man, he just want to teach all that he has learned, although many students - I include- demonstrate not paying attention. However, I understand their classes. So this way, to learn the same, and that future, we do an excellent quality of work when we work as public administrators in service to all country.
Besides, we work with computer programs like Stata, SPSS, or Microoft Office Excel, to obtain data. In simple words "to test what we are learning".

The main contents in this course are:

- Association of qualitative variables with Chi square.
- Association of quantitative variables with  Linear Correlation Coefficient and Covariance.
- Types of variables.
- Simple Linear Regression.
- Statisticians Dispersion
- Absolute frequencies and relative frequencies.
- Contingency tables.
- Make analysis of the results made by computer programs, mentioned above.

Although in the tests I'm not very good, I try to get better and better, and I've learned a lot.

Evaluation of blog experience.-

I think that create a blog in English was a challenge

At first, I thought this would be a waste of time, but my perception changed because this meant learning new words I did not know, also, I had to make more complete sentences, and not simple sentences as  it used to do.

This has meant that I could improve just a little drafting in English, but, I still need more practice, because I used tools such as dictionaries and internet. It was very necesary.

For the future, I would like that the number of blogs is reduced, but in return, we could put many photos on a blog and make little comments in English, but not  simple comments (for instance: historical review of the photo, our interpretation, create a story, etc.), so, this way, the risk of error when writing large paragraphs, is considerably reduced, and so too, we can do a better job, which means dedication, interest, something more complete and something less forced to write.

I would like to add the following topics for the future:

- World events that interest us (as, comic con, wars, international political conflict etc.

- Invent and write an article of news, poetry, song, etc.

- What vehicle we like

- Make a comment of our career, or a message to the public to they can understand that a good bureaucracy and good public administrators enable that a developing country like Chile can be better.

THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION!!!
